The Trail Blazers are expected to target current Jason Kidd as a coaching candidate if they decide to move on from Terry Stotts, per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
Kidd currently serves as an assistant under Frank Vogel with the Lakers. Kidd has also been mentioned as a candidate with the Celtics, as former coach Brad Stevens has moved to the team president role.
Per Haynes, the Lakers have raved about Kidd’s work with the team and believe he should Kidd should be a top candidate for any vacancy.
Kidd, 48, has coached both the Nets and Bucks, compiling a 183-190 record in five seasons overall.
Stotts, 63, has been with the Blazers since 2012 and owns a 402-318 record. He has also coached the Bucks and Hawks and is 517-486 in 13 seasons overall.
