The Cavaliers own the No. 3 overall draft pick and intend to host top-five prospect Jonathan Kuminga for a private workout ahead of next month’s NBA Draft, per Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.
A league source told Hoopswire that Kuminga “killed his pro day” on Saturday. Per Fedor, the Cavs were in attendance.
Kuminga, 18, is 6-foot-6 and averaged 15.8 points and 7.2 rebounds 13 games with the G League Ignite this past season. Along the way, he produced four 20-point games and four double-doubles, drawing comparisons to Warriors forward Draymond Green.
With the third overall pick, the Cavs are widely expected to strongly consider two of whoever is left between USC center Evan Mobley, G League Ignite guard Jalen Green or Gonzaga guard Jalen Suggs.
But those around the league seem to consider the Cavs the draft’s biggest mystery, with some suggesting they may even look to trade the pick. Either way, it’s clear they are doing their homework on a number of prospects.
Both Cavs general manager Koby Altman and assistant GM Mike Gansey attended Kuminga’s pro day, Fedor reported.

I could be way off, but strengths and weaknesses of Kuminga remind me of Wiggins.
