The Celtics have requested second interviews with Clippers assistant Chauncey Billups, Nets assistant Ime Udoka and Bucks assistant Darvin Ham for their coaching vacancy, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Celtics president Brad Stevens is seeking his replacement and appears to be sticking to the assistant coaching ranks in his search.
Along with Billups, Ham and Udoka, the Celtics have recently were granted permission to speak with Mavericks assistant Jamahl Mosley and Bucks assistant Charles Lee.
Nets assistant Mike D’Antoni and Spurs assistant Becky Hammon have also been mentioned as possibilities in Boston.
Billups has also been linked to the Trail Blazers, and is said to be aggressively pursing a head-coaching job. He is in his first season as an assistant under Tyronn Lue and a former Celtics point guard. Some around the league consider him a favorite in both Boston and Portland.
