Clippers star forward Kawhi Leonard could miss the rest of the series vs. the Jazz with a right knee injury suffered in Game 4, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.The Clippers fear Leonard may have suffered an ACL injury, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported. Leonard is out indefinitely.
The Clippers-Jazz series currently tied at 2-all.
Leonard suffered the injury as he planted to make a move on a drive to the basket. He did not finish the game.
Leonard, 29, averaged 24.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists during the regular season and has been even better in the playoffs. Against the Jazz, he’s averaging 27.3 points and 7.5 boards.
The series has already been littered with injuries to key players, with the Jazz missing starting point guard Mike Conley Jr. (day-to-day, hamstring) and the Clippers without Serge Ibaka (out for the season, back).
