Diamond Stone Signs With Puerto Rican Club

Free agent center Diamond Stone has signed a one-year contract with Mets de Guaynabo of Puerto Rico, the team announced.Diamond Stone

Stone, 24, is 6-foot-10 and was selected by the Pelicans in the second round (No. 40 overall) of the 2016 draft, then immediately traded to the Clippers.

He appeared in just seven games with LA in 2016-17, before being traded to the Hawks In a three-team deal with the Bulls. He was waived by both the Hawks and Bulls prior to the following season.

Since then, he has spent most of his time in the G League, before playing for the Guelph Nighthawks of the Canadian Elite Basketball League last season. A former McDonald’s All-American, Stone declared for the NBA Draft after just one season at Maryland.
