Shayok, 25, is 6-foot-6 and spent this past year with Frutti Extra Bursaspor, also of Turkey, averaging 18.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 12 games.
He was selected out of Iowa State by the Sixers in the second round (No. 54 overall) of the 2019 draft, appearing in four games. He spent most of his time that season with the Delaware Blue Coats of the G League, averaging 23 points and six rebounds.
The Sixers waived Shayok following the 2019-20 season.
“While it’s still early in the summer, Fenerbahce has already a clear pathway for the future of the roster which is expected to be set fully in motion and confirmed after the club elections, scheduled for the June 18-19 and, in case there’s not enough majority, for June 25-26,” Akgün wrote.
