Adebayo has joined a list that already reportedly includes Nets forward Kevin Durant, Suns shooting guard Devin Booker, Celtics guard/forward Jayson Tatum, Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal, Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard and Warriors forward Draymond Green.

Others such as Lakers forwards LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and Heat guard/forward Jimmy Butler, are among the big names who won’t be participating.

Adebayo, 23, is 6-foot-9 and averaged 18.7 points and 9.0 rebounds this past season.

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich will serve as coach of Team USA, which announced 57 finalists for the Olympic roster in March and needs to turn in a 12-man roster by July 5. No date has been determined for the start of training camp in Las Vegas.

As an aside, the Finals start on July 8, with a potential Game 7 set for July 22. The Olympics are scheduled to begin July 23 in Tokyo.
