Jazz To Again Host Four-Team SLC Summer League

The SLC league is scheduled for Aug. 3-6 at Vivint Arena, home of the Jazz, and serves as sort of a tune-up for the Las Vegas Summer League, the biggie on the offseason circuit.

Along with two teams representing the host Jazz, the Grizzlies and Spurs will be participating. Each team will play three games as part of daily doubleheaders on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. EST.

The Jazz are fielding two teams because the Cavaliers, who took part in 2019, will not return, according to Ryan McDonald of the Deseret News.

Much like the Vegas summer run, the SLC Summer League will feature rookies selected in the draft, multiple sophomores, select free agents and others vying to be invited to training camp or the G League.

The Las Vegas Summer League will be held Aug. 8-17 at the MGM Grand, with all 30 teams represented. Meanwhile, the California Classic in Sacramento has been called off for the second straight year, per Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee.
