Suns star forward Kevin Durant has always been tapped into social media, whether that’s good or bad, but this time it was hilarious. Durant had himself a monster night in a double-overtime win Sunday over the Utah Jazz with 39 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 assists…and then used that success to make a point about angry NBA gamblers in his DM’s.
“When I get ya paid, u don’t DM me and send a small percentage to my cashapp but when them parlays don’t hit, I’m every name in the book. Yall ain’t real,” Durant tweeted.
KD is usefully on the mark over social media, even though he probably makes himself a little too easy to reach. This one is perfect.

How true is that, though? Rooting for professional athletes in all sports is no longer a pointless gesture that makes an owner money. These days a star player can be a single basket from cashing in a life-changing amount of money for a lucky gambler. It feels like it’s rigged when a player fails to come through — or even a lack of effort on the player’s part. It’s an entirely new way to watch sports and players, especially in the NBA, have been vocal about their feelings regarding gambling. They can’t stand it.
Durant seems to be making a smarter move in terms of how fans will perceive him by acknowledging he sees their nasty remarks when he fails to come through, while genuinely asking where his flowers are when he does. A great time to ask the question since Durant alongside Devin Booker are 12-1 over their last 13 games.
I guess we’ll never know. https://t.co/M7qNbGysKO

They’re playing some quality basketball in Phoenix as players are getting healthy with further help expected after Bradley Beal is re-evaluated over the next few weeks with a sore back. A good time to send off some spicy tweets if you ask us.
