Others with an interest in Turner include the Lakers, Knicks, Clippers and Pelicans, per Michaels. Each of those teams, sans the Timberwolves, were mentioned by Michaels as already inquiring about the Turner’s availability.
Turner, 25, is 6-foot-11 and missed the end of the regular season and play-in tournament with a toe injury. He averaged 12.6 points and 6.5 rebounds in 47 games this season, his sixth in Indiana.
He also averaged a career-high 3.4 blocks, and that type of defensive presence is viewed as the main reason for the outside interest.
The Pacers finished 34-38 and failed to qualify for the playoffs. They are in the midst of a coaching search after firing Nate Bjorkgren after one season.
