Latest Names Added To Health And Safety Protocols Include Bradley Beal, KAT, Trevor Ariza…

Teams across the league are continuing to lose players to COVID protocols.

All players announced will be sidelined for 10 days, unless two negative PCR tests are supplied in 24 hours.

Here are the latest names to join the NBA’s COVID list, via The Athletic / Stadium’s Shams Charania:

The Minnesota Timberwolves revealed that All-Star big man Karl Anthony-Towns landed in the health and safety protocols. He last appeared for the Timberwolves Tuesday (Dec. 21) versus the Dallas Mavericks, playing for 38 minutes and registering 26 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists.

In Los Angeles, the Lakers added veteran forward Trevor Ariza to health and safety protocols. Ariza’s first game of the season on Tuesday saw valuable minutes as a 5 for a smaller Lakers lineup.

Ariza scored 12 points, which was the third-best scoring performance for LA in the loss against the Phoenix Suns. Losing Ariza is an ill-timed adjustment as Anthony Davis remains sidelined, limiting their length on the court.

In Washington, All-Star guard Bradley Beal was announced as another addition to the COVID report on Thursday, ruling him out for the night’s matchup against the New York Knicks.

Barring the negative PCR tests, Beal will be eligible to return for a Jan. 3 matchup against the Charlotte Hornets.

Per Hoops Rumors, the Memphis Grizzlies added former first-round pick Jarrett Culver to the COVID watchlist.
