The Magic have requested interviews with three more assistant coaches as they look to fill their vacancy, per Josh Robbins of The Athletic.
The latest list includes Suns assistant Willie Green, Nets assistant Ime Udoka and Bucks assistant Charles Lee. This is the first known interview for Green, though Udoka and Lee appear to be up for several jobs.
The Magic reportedly have also set up interviews with Spurs assistant Becky Hammon and Lakers assistant Jason Kidd. Along with that, they have been linked to former Nets coach Kenny Atkinson, currently an assistant with the Clippers, and former Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts. Bucks assistant Darvin Ham could also be in the running.
Magic president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman is trying to find a replacement for Steve Clifford, who mutually parted ways with the franchise following the season.
Clifford, 59, led the Magic to the Southeast Division title in his first season with the organization in 2018-19. The Magic also made the playoffs in 2020 before entering full rebuild mode late this season.
Overall, he compiled a 96-131 mark in Orlando. He also coached Charlotte five seasons.
The Magic are one of seven teams seeking a new head coach, joining the Mavericks, Pacers, Pelicans, Wizards, Celtics and Trail Blazers.
