Conley, 33, averaged 16.2 points and 6.0 assists, shooting a career-high 41.2 percent on 3-pointers while making his first All-Star Game appearance. The Jazz finished with the league’s best record, but were eliminated by the Clippers in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Conley was injured for much of the series, missing all but the final game with a hamstring issue.
Meanwhile, the Mavericks recently hired Jason Kidd as coach and former Nike executive Nico Harrison as general manager. They could have plenty of available cap space, and reportedly will pursue Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard if he enters free agency.
