Jazz point guard Mike Conley Jr. is out for Game 2 vs. the Clippers with a mild hamstring injury, the team said.
Conley missed Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal with the same issue, though the Jazz managed a come-from-behind win to a take a 1-0 series lead.
Conley suffered the injury in the final game of the first round vs. the Grizzlies. The Jazz won the series by a 4-1 count. Conley has been listed as day-to-day since.
“It’s playoffs, so my mindset is I’ll be ready to play,” he told reporters at the time. “We’re gonna just see what happens in next few days and be smart about how we approach it going into this next series.”
He averaged 16.2 points and 6.0 assists in 51 regular-season games.
