Nets’ Kyrie Irving Ruled Out For Game 6 Vs. Bucks

Nets star point guard Kyrie Irving will miss his second straight game with a sprained right ankle, coach Steve Nash told reporters.Kyrie Irving

Irving missed Game 5 vs. the Bucks with the injury, but the Nets still managed to win thanks to otherworldly performance from forward Kevin Durant. They lead the series, 3-2, with Game 6 scheduled for Thursday in Milwaukee.

Nash said that Irving will not make the trip, instead remaining back in Brooklyn to receive treatment.

Irving suffered the injury in the first half of Game 4 after landing on the foot of Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.

“The experts would have to wait and see how it progresses and give you a clearer on what kinda the window would be for his return,” Nash said at the time of the injury, via Scott Thompson of SNY.tv.

Irving, 29, is averaging 22.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists in nine playoff games.

On the bright side for the Nets, fellow star James Harden is expected to play in Game 5 after logging 46 minutes in his return from a hamstring issue.
