The 76ers will be missing starting shooting guard Danny Green for at least for the rest of the series vs. the Hawks, and should they advance, likely the Eastern Conference finals as well.
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Green will miss 2-3 weeks with a strained right calf. Harrison Sanford of NBC Sports Philadelphia added that Green may indeed be back in two weeks, but could be out as many as five.
Other than that, Green is “relieved” the injury is not related to his Achilles, Sanford added, and is optimistic he can return if the Sixers advance.
Green has only been averaging 4.0 points in the series, and 7.0 for the playoffs (eight games), but is a valuable wing defender alongside Ben Simmons in the Sixers’ backcourt.
Green, 33, averaged 9.5 points in the regular season, starting all 69 games in which he appeared.
