Suns point guard Chris Paul is out indefinitely after being placed in the NBA’s health and safety protocols, according to multiple reports, including Malika Andrews of ESPN.
Paul and the Suns advanced to the Western Conference finals and are awaiting the winner of the Jazz-Clippers series.
As ESPN noted, the NBA coronavirus-related safety rules have changed during the season. If Paul has been vaccinated, he could be facing a shorter absence.
Paul is averaging 15.7 points and 8.7 assists, shooting 51 percent from the field, in 10 postseason games. The Suns eliminated the defending champion Lakers in the first round before sweeping the Nuggets in the second.
