LeBron became the leading scorer in NBA history last season, passing Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The Lakers face the Denver Nuggets in their next game. LeBron will make history during that contest.
A 20-time All-Star, LeBron is first in NBA history in points, second in field goals, fourth in assists, ninth in steals, fifth in triple-doubles, seventh in points per game, third in player efficiency rating and eighth in 3-point field goals.
LeBron is the only player in NBA history to rank top five all-time in both points and assists. He’s also the only player to have at least 35,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 10,000 career assists.
LeBron has won one championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers, two with the Miami Heat and one with the Lakers. He’s the only player in NBA history to win three Finals MVPs with three different franchises.
LeBron has career averages of 27.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.8 blocks with the Cavaliers, Heat and Lakers. He’s a four-time regular-season MVP, four-time champion and four-time Finals MVP.
The 39-year-old LeBron can become an unrestricted free agent this offseason if he declines his 2024-25 player option with the Lakers worth $51.4 million. According to NBA insider Zach Lowe of ESPN, LBJ would like to finish his career with the Lakers.
“On LeBron James, look I can’t sit here and really tell you I know what LeBron wants out of life,” Lowe said on his podcast. “Everything I’ve heard for years, including today, is if he has his druthers, he would like to finish his career with the Lakers. There are pipe dream scenarios out there where like well Philly has all this cap space. Could he opt in and ask for a trade to Philly? I haven’t heard that those things are real. I think he wants to finish his career a Laker.”
