After the Golden State Warriors beat the Houston Rockets last night (4/4), Klay Thompson ripped Tari Eason for talking trash while not playing during his media session with NBA reporters.
Eason posted a video last week telling the Warriors to come out to play. He then wore a shirt to the game last night with the same phrase.
“That’s pretty lame,” Thompson said, via The Athletic. “Especially if you’re not playing. It’s one thing if you’re playing, you’re out there competing, and you can back it up. But if you’re just gonna be trolling from the sideline, like, bro?”
Tari Eason wore a shirt reading "Warriors come out to play" on Houston's bench vs. Golden State Friday.
The Warriors won by 23 and hold a four-game lead in the race for the No. 10 seed in the West… and noticed Eason's taunt 😅

The Warriors blew out the Rockets by a final score of 133-110. Eason is out for the season after undergoing surgery on his left leg.
Thomspon had a terrific game versus the Rockets. The four-time NBA champion finished with 29 points while shooting 11-of-15 from the field and 7-of-11 from beyond the arc.
The Warriors are 42-34 on the season. They are in 10th place in the Western Conference standings.
If the regular season ended today, the Warriors would face the Los Angeles Lakers in the 9-10 play-in tournament game. Golden State would have to win two consecutive play-in games to make the 2024 playoffs as the eighth seed.
The Warriors lost to the Lakers in the second round of the 2023 playoffs in six games. The Dubs also lost to Los Angeles during a play-in game in 2021.
One of the best shooters in NBA history, Thompson is averaging 17.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists for the Warriors this season while shooting 42.9% from the field, 38.4% from beyond the arc and 91.9% from the free-throw line.
Thompson becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The 34-year-old wants to re-sign with the Warriors and spend his entire career with one organization.
The Warriors drafted Thompson with the 11th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft out of Washington State. Thompson has made five All-Star teams, two All-NBA teams and one All-Defensive team with Golden State.
