Larry Nance Jr. Issues Statement On Playing For Cavaliers Again

Larry Nance Jr. is excited to play for his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers again. 

Nance Jr. played 182 games with the Cavaliers before getting traded to the Portland Trail Blazers in the summer of 2021. He averaged 9.5 points and 7.5 rebounds. 

Nance Jr. played for the Atlanta Hawks last season. He averaged 8.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 51.6% from the field, 44.7% from beyond the arc and 69.2% from the free-throw line in 24 games. 

The 32-year-old Nance Jr. has played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Cavaliers, Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans and Hawks. He has career averages of 7.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 546 NBA games. 

The Cavaliers, who were the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference last season and lost to the Indiana Pacers in the second round of the playoffs in five games, traded Isaac Okoro to the Chicago Bulls for Lonzo Ball

Cleveland lost Ty Jerome to the Memphis Grizzlies in free agency. 


In other Cavaliers news, Cleveland has signed Tyrese Proctor to a multi-year contract. 

Proctor will wear jersey #24 for the Cavaliers.

Cleveland drafted Proctor with the 49th overall pick in the 2025 draft.
