New Los Angeles Lakers guard Spencer Dinwiddie told reporters that LeBron James has the “greatest career of all time” after making his Lakers debut last night (2/13) against the Detroit Pistons.
Dinwiddie, who grew up a Lakers fan, is looking forward to learning from LeBron.
“Again, I’ve said this a ton, LeBron James has the greatest career of all time,” Dinwiddie said. “So to be able to be around somebody like that, learn from somebody like that, see how he goes about his day, his routine, his recovery, on top of obviously the special things he does on the floor, it’s big time to be able to learn from somebody who has, shoot, he’s about to have 40,000 points.”
LeBron and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan are universally recognized as the two best players in NBA history. The two icons have combined to win nine regular-season MVPs, 10 championships and 10 Finals MVPs.
A 20-time All-Star, LeBron has career averages of 27.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.7 blocks with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Lakers. He’s a four-time regular-season MVP, four-time champion and four-time Finals MVP.
LeBron is first in NBA history in points, second in field goals, fourth in assists, ninth in steals, fifth in triple-doubles, seventh in points per game, third in player efficiency rating and eighth in 3-point field goals.
The King is the only player in NBA history to rank top five all-time in both points and assists. He’s also the only player to have at least 30,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 10,000 career assists.
LeBron has won one championship with the Cavaliers, two with the Heat and one with the Lakers. He’s the only player in NBA history to win three Finals MVPs with three different teams.
The Akron Hammer is 132 points away from becoming the first player ever to score 40,000 points in the NBA. Even if you’re a Jordan stan, you can’t deny how special LeBron is.
