Report: Warriors’ Stephen Curry to miss time with pelvic contusion

According to NBA insider Shams Charania of ESPN, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry will miss time with a pelvic contusion.

Curry got hurt on Thursday (3/20) against the Toronto Raptors.

The best shooter in NBA history, Curry is averaging 24.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.0 assists this season while shooting 44.7% from the field, 39.4% from beyond the arc and 92.9% from the free-throw line.

The Warriors are 41-29 on the season. They are in sixth place in the Western Conference standings.

With Curry out, Golden State’s offense will run through Jimmy Butler, who is having a blast with his new team and teammates.

“I saw a group that wanted me to be a part of it,” Butler told NBA reporter Marc J. Spears of Andscape. “That’s all you ever wanted to be is wanted in this life, not just in this league. In anything, you want to be wanted. Needed is like a necessity. Wanted is like somebody’s choosing to bring you aboard this. I think that’s the ultimate sign of respect.”

With Curry and Butler leading the way, the Warriors look like title contenders again.

“Super-consistent, a professional,” Curry said about Butler. “There’s been a lot of eyeballs with him all season and all that, but I loved the way he’s approached everything. Me and Draymond (Green) always talk about [how] we don’t ask anybody to be anybody other than themselves, but we show up to play.”

The Warriors acquired Butler from the Miami Heat. Butler is averaging 17.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists with Golden State.
