According to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports, the Phoenix Suns will trade Kevin Durant before the 2025 NBA Draft.
The 2025 NBA Draft is on June 25.
Gambadoro also thinks the Los Angeles Clippers could be interested in trading for Durant.
Clippers guard James Harden played with Durant on the Oklahoma City Thunder and Brooklyn Nets.
Los Angeles lost to the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the 2025 playoffs in seven games. The franchise has never been to the NBA Finals.

Durant, 36, has one year left on his contract. The superstar small forward will make $54.7 million next season.
A future Hall of Famer, Durant turns 37 in September. The four-time scoring champion averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the Suns this season while shooting 52.7% from the field, 43.0% from beyond the arc and 83.9% from the free-throw line.
Durant has career averages of 27.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists with the Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Nets and Suns. He was named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team in 2022.
Durant won two rings and two Finals MVPs (2017, 2018) with the Warriors. However, he hasn’t gotten back to the NBA Finals since leaving Golden State in 2019.
Durant has also been swept in the first round of the postseason twice since departing the Warriors.
A league source told Hoops Wire that Durant prefers the Suns trade him to the San Antonio Spurs so he can play with All-Stars Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox.
According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Suns are talking to the Houston Rockets, Spurs, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat and New York Knicks about a Durant trade.
