Trade Proposal Sends Jerami Grant To Cavaliers, Anfernee Simons To Magic, Caris LeVert To Blazers

An NBA trade proposal between the Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic, Portland Trail Blazers and Cleveland Cavaliers has been created

Here’s the mock trade:

Hawks receive: Matisse Thybulle

Magic receive: Anfernee Simons

Blazers receive: Caris LeVert, Cole Anthony, Larry Nance Jr., Georges Niang, Jett Howard, Ty Jerome, Caleb Houstan, eight draft picks

Cavaliers receive: Jerami Grant, Kris Murray, Duop Reath

Grant averaged 21.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.6 blocks last season for the Blazers while shooting 45.1% from the field, 40.2% from beyond the arc and 81.7% from the free-throw line. He’ll make $29.8 million next season.

Simons averaged 22.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.1 blocks in 2023-24 for the Blazers while shooting 43.0% from the field, 38.5% from beyond the arc and 91.6% from the free-throw line. He’ll make $25.9 million next season.

Finally, LeVert averaged 14.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.5 blocks for the Cavaliers last season while shooting 42.1% from the field, 32.5% from beyond the arc and 76.6% from the foul line. He’ll make $16.6 million next season in the final year of his deal. 

Grant has career NBA averages of 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.0 blocks with the Philadelphia 76ers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons and Blazers.

Simons holds career NBA averages of 14.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.1 blocks, all with the Blazers. 

Finally, LeVert has career NBA averages of 14.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.4 blocks with the Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers and Cavaliers. 

The Hawks and Blazers missed the playoffs last season. Meanwhile, the Magic lost to the Cavaliers in the first round in seven games and Cleveland lost to the Boston Celtics in the second round in five games.
