An NBA trade proposal sending Kyle Kuzma, Grant Williams, Corey Kispert and Nick Richards to the Cleveland Cavaliers has been created.
Here’s the mock NBA trade idea between the Cavaliers, Washington Wizards and Charlotte Hornets:
Kuzma averaged 22.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.7 blocks for the Wizards in 2023-24 while shooting 46.3% from the field, 33.6% from beyond the arc and 77.5% from the free-throw line. He’ll make $23.5 million next season.
Kispert averaged 13.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.2 blocks for the Wizards last season while shooting 48.6% from the field, 38.3% from beyond the arc and 72.6% from the free-throw line. He’ll make $5.7 million next season.
Williams played for the Dallas Mavericks and Hornets last season. He averaged 10.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.5 blocks while shooting 45.6% from the field, 37.5% from beyond the arc and 75.7% from the free-throw line. The 25-year-old will make $13 million next season.
Finally, Richards averaged 9.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.4 steals and 1.1 blocks for the Hornets last season while shooting 69.1% from the field and 73.7% from the free-throw line. He’ll make $5 million next season.
Last season, the Cavaliers went 48-34. They beat the Orlando Magic in the first round of the playoffs in seven games but lost to the Boston Celtics in the second round in five games.
Cleveland only has two new players on the roster: JT Thor and rookie Jaylon Tyson.
JB Bickerstaff was fired as head coach and replaced by Kenny Atkinson, who signed a five-year deal with the Cavaliers.
“I am thrilled and honored to be named head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers,” Atkinson said. “This is an incredible opportunity to lead an already talented young roster with an equally bright future. I’ve seen firsthand and had to prepare for this group as an opposing coach, and the task was not easy. I’m so excited to now be on this side of the ledger to help continue moving this team forward. I also want to thank Koby Altman and the front office for having the confidence in me and the shared vision we have for sustainable success in Cleveland.”
