NBA analyst Nick Wright proposed a three-team trade idea between the Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors

The mock trade has LeBron James and Stephen Curry going to the Spurs to play with Victor Wembanyama.

LeBron has a no-trade clause in his contract, so he can control his future. Meanwhile, Curry would have to request a trade from the Warriors to get moved since Golden State’s front office isn’t going to move him unless he wants to get traded.

LeBron and Curry are teammates on Team USA. Both NBA legends are enjoying playing with each other for the first time.

“The game of basketball don’t last forever,” LeBron told The Athletic. “You don’t want to waste the opportunity to be able to have a relationship with someone. … A lot of y’all maybe grew up in the Bird-Magic era and we shouldn’t like each other, but I’m also (aware) enough to know that Isiah (Thomas) and Magic hugged and kissed each other on the floor too because it was just mutual respect. They say Michael never talked to any of his opponents, but I’m also smart enough to know that him and Charles (Barkley) had a lot of conversations during the ’93 finals and also played golf against each other. So I don’t want to lose those moments (with Curry).”

LeBron and Curry have combined to win eight championships, six MVPs and five Finals MVPs.

LeBron is arguably the greatest player in NBA history, while Curry is the best shooter of all time. The Spurs would be title favorites with LeBron, Curry and Wembanyama leading the way.

However, the odds of this trade happening are zero.

LeBron’s son, Bronny James, is on the Lakers, so LeBron probably wants to finish his career in LA and Curry has said multiple times he wants to retire with the Warriors.
