Trade Proposal Sends Michael Porter Jr. To Hawks, Bruce Brown, Bogdan Bogdanovic To Nuggets, De’Andre Hunter To Raptors

One NBA analyst proposed a three-team trade idea between the Atlanta Hawks, Denver Nuggets and Toronto Raptors

Fran Leiva of Fadeaway World proposed the following mock trade between the Hawks, Nuggets and Raptors:

Atlanta Hawks receive: Michael Porter Jr., Chris Boucher, Julian Strawther

Denver Nuggets receive: Bruce Brown, Bogdan Bogdanovic

Toronto Raptors receive: De’Andre Hunter, Zeke Nnaji, Bruno Fernando

The Hawks and Raptors missed the playoffs in 2024, while the Nuggets lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round in seven games. 

Porter Jr. appeared in 81 games for the Nuggets in 2023-24. He averaged 16.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.7 blocks while shooting 48.4% from the field, 39.7% from beyond the arc and 83.6% from the free-throw line. 

Brown played for the Indiana Pacers and Raptors this past season. He averaged 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.3 blocks while shooting 47.8% from the field, 32.3% from beyond the arc and 82.4% from the free-throw line.

Brown helped the Nuggets win the 2023 title against the Miami Heat. The Raptors picked up Brown’s team option for next season. They are trying to trade the combo guard this offseason. 

Bogdanovic averaged 16.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.3 blocks for the Hawks in 2023-24 while shooting 42.8% from the field, 37.4% from beyond the arc and 92.1% from the free-throw line. He is teammates with Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic on Team Serbia. 

Finally, Hunter averaged 15.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.3 blocks for the Hawks this past season while shooting 45.9% from the field, 38.5% from beyond the arc and 84.7% from the free-throw line. 

Porter Jr. will make $35.9 million next season, Brown will make $23 million, Bogdanovic will make $17.3 million and Hunter will make $21.7 million. 

The Hawks already made one big trade this offseason, sending Dejounte Murray to the New Orleans Pelicans for Dyson DanielsE.J. LiddellLarry Nance Jr. and Cody Zeller

Meanwhile, the Nuggets signed Russell Westbrook after the NBA legend was traded by the Los Angeles Clippers to the Utah Jazz and waived by the Jazz.
