The NBA has fined 76ers center Joel Embiid $15,000 for public criticism of the officials, per a statement from the league.
Embiid made his comments following the 76ers’ Game 4 loss to the Raptors. The Sixers still lead the series, 3-1.
“I’m gonna take my own advice and not complain about fouls, but like I was doing at the end of the game, they did a great job,” said Embiid. “I admire the job that they did today. To me, it felt like they had one job coming in here tonight and they got it done. So congrats to them.”
Embiid has a torn ligament in his thumb, but is waiting until the offseason to undergo surgery.
