CLEVELAND — The Cavaliers will have to try to even their series against the Indiana Pacers without three of their biggest guns.
As revealed just before tipoff, All-Star point Darius Garland will miss his fourth straight game in Tuesday’s Game 2, with All-Star power forward Evan Mobley and key reserve forward De’Andre Hunter missing their first of the postseason.
Garland has missed three straight with a sprained toe. Mobley has a sprained ankle and Hunter has a sprained finger on his shooting hand.
None of the three took part in shootaround on Tuesday morning.
“We have a plan A, B, and C in place if needed,” Atkinson said in his pregame media session.
It marks the first time this season that all three players are out of the lineup at the same time.
The Cavs trail the series, 1-0. It shifts to Indiana for two games starting Friday. Game 2 at Cleveland’s Rocket Arena is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. EST.
“it won’t be an easy game for us either way,” Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said.
