The Knicks are signing undrafted Overtime Elite point guard Jean Montero to an Exhibit 10 contract, per Jonathan Givoney of ESPN.
Montero, 18, is 6-foot-3 and appeared in 23 games for Team Overtime, averaging 17.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 3.5 steals per game in the league’s inaugural season.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a contract that counts toward the offseason roster limit of 20, but does not count toward the salary cap unless the player makes the team.
Montero is a native of the Dominican Republic and also played for Gran Canaria in Spain’s 3rd Division from 2019-21.
