The Cavaliers have extended training camp invitations to Tristan Enaruna, Norchad Omier, Chaney Johnson and Jaxson Robinson, along with former lottery pick Killian Hayes, per Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.
Hayes, a 6-foot-5 point guard, is likely headed to the Cleveland Charge of the G League, though sources told Hoops Wire he will be given a strong look and have a shot to make the Cavs’ roster. He was selected by the Pistons with the No. 7 overall pick in 2020.
Meanwhile, Enaruna is a native of the Netherlands and played two seasons at Kansas before transferring to Iowa State, eventually finishing his college career at Cleveland State.
He spent two seasons with the Vikings, averaging 19.5 points and 6.5 rebounds on his way to First Team All-Horizon League honors in 2024.
After that, he went undrafted before signing on with the Celtics. He ended up with the Maine Celtics of the G League last season as a rookie — then with the Cavs for summer league.
“He can be an NBA player,” Cavs summer coach Omar Cook said in July.
Omier also spent the summer looking really good with the Cavaliers.
“A few years ago, I never would’ve imagined I’d be here,” Omier told FIBA Basketball. “It’s been a long journey. I always think back to when I was a kid, playing in my neighborhood back home (in Nicaragua).”
