The Lakers are signing undrafted Boston University guard/forward Javante McCoy to an Exhibit 10 contract, he told Greg Levinsky of WEX Inc. News, via Hoops Rumors.
McCoy is 6-foot-5 and was a member of the All-Patriot League first team. He averaged he averaged 17.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists last season as a senior.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a contract that counts toward the offseason roster limit of 20, but does not count toward the salary cap unless the player makes the team.
All NBA contracts can be finalized once the new league year begins next week. The Las Vegas summer league tips off July 7.
Along with McCoy, the Lakers have also added rookies Scotty Pippen Jr. on a two-way contract (full post) and Fabian White Jr. to an Exhibit 10 deal (full post).
