Hawks
The Hawks have picked up the 2026–27 team option on forward Zaccharie Risacher, locking in the top pick from the 2024 draft for another season at $13.8 million.
Risacher showed flashes late in his rookie year after a slow start. He averaged 10.5 points on 40% shooting over his first 38 games, then caught fire down the stretch, jumping to 14.9 points on 51.8% from the field and 41.8% from deep.
The 20-year-old French wing has been nursing a right ankle sprain this fall and has already missed two games, but Atlanta remains optimistic about his trajectory. He’s averaging 8.7 points through his first five appearances of the new season.
Teams still have until Friday to make final decisions on 2026–27 rookie options, but Risacher’s was one of the easy calls.
Clippers
The Clippers have declined the 2026–27 team option on forward Kobe Brown, as relayed by HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto.
That means Brown, the 30th pick in the 2023 draft, will be on track for unrestricted free agency in 2026, unless he’s traded or waived before then. He’ll make $2.65 million this year, his third in the league.
Brown, 25, has logged limited NBA minutes — just 84 games total, averaging 7.9 minutes per night — but he’s been productive in the G League, where he averaged 21.0 points and 5.5 rebounds for the San Diego Clippers last season.
International
Former NBA center Alex Len has found a new home overseas.
Len has signed a multi-year deal with Real Madrid, which officially announced the move Thursday. The contract includes an NBA opt-out clause for next season, per HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto.
Len, 31, was waived by the Knicks earlier this month after a brief training camp stint. He split last season between the Kings and the Lakers, appearing in 46 total games and averaging 1.6 points and 2.1 rebounds.
The former No. 5 overall pick in 2013 has suited up for six NBA teams across 12 seasons — the Suns, Hawks, Kings, Raptors, Wizards, and Lakers.
