Bucks

The Bucks confirmed Tuesday that Kevin Porter Jr. underwent successful meniscus surgery and is expected to miss about four more weeks.

Porter was already rehabbing a left ankle sprain when he injured the knee during on-court work last week.

He was Milwaukee’s starting point guard on opening night after re-signing this summer, but only logged nine minutes before spraining that ankle. Now the return timeline is pushed back again.

Porter is talented. He’s also had well-documented off-court issues. But after landing in Milwaukee from the Clippers last February, he played well — averaging nearly 12 points and shooting 49 percent overall and 41 percent on threes.

He just needs to get healthy.

Kings

Precious Achiuwa signed his one-year deal with Sacramento on Tuesday and said he can help immediately.

“Size. Defense. Rebounding. Toughness. Competing at a high level,” Achiuwa said in a video posted by Kings radio reporter Sean Cunningham. “Things that I do really, really well.”

Achiuwa played for the Knicks last season, then was in Miami for camp before being waived just before opening night. He said he stayed patient, and stayed in shape.

Pelicans

The Pelicans are 1-6 after Tuesday’s narrow victory over the Hornets, but seemingly still sinking. And now the post-mortems are rolling in.

Yossi Gozlan of The Third Apron took a crack at it, citing three offseason trades that may have broken the 2025-26 season before it began. The list includes New Orleans’ Jordan Poole deal and giving back a 2026 first-round pick to the Pacers.

Keith Smith of Spotrac goes even bigger. He wrote that it may be time to move on from Zion Williamson entirely.
