Tyler Herro is finally on track to suit up again. Barring a late setback, the Heat guard is expected to make his season debut Monday against the Mavericks, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Herro has been out since September after undergoing surgery to address posterior impingement syndrome in his left ankle.
Miami has been eyeing this return date for about a week, with Herro ramping up in practice and clearing the key benchmarks.
The Heat could use the boost. Herro is coming off the first All-Star season of his career and remains the focal point of an offense that looks far different than it did a year ago.
Miami sits at 11-6 after Sunday’s win over Philadelphia and has won nine of its last eleven. Getting Herro back only raises the ceiling.
