For a team that rarely stumbles, Saturday’s loss to San Antonio felt loud. Oklahoma City answered it quietly and decisively.
The Thunder looked very much like themselves again Thursday night, rolling past the Clippers 122-101 and reminding everyone why the West still runs through them.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 points and didn’t even need the fourth quarter. That’s how comfortable it got.
After seeing their 16-game winning streak snapped last weekend, the Thunder came out rested, sharp and ruthless. They’re now 25-2 overall and 13-0 at home, which is starting to feel less like a stat and more like a warning.
SGA was in full control, hitting 13 of 24 shots while adding seven rebounds and six assists. It marked his 98th straight game with at least 20 points, a streak that continues to put him in rare company.
Chet Holmgren added 22, Jalen Williams chipped in 20 and the Thunder never let things get uncomfortable.
The Clippers helped, committing 28 turnovers without James Harden. Oklahoma City turned those into 39 points and 18 steals, with Cason Wallace leading the chaos.
A close first half gave way to a third-quarter avalanche. Once Oklahoma City hit the gas, this one was over. That familiar feeling is back.
