Rival teams expect Bulls to listen on Coby White

The door may be opening a little wider in Chicago.

According to Marc Stein of The Stein Line, rival teams are getting the sense that the Bulls are more open than they’ve been in the past to discussing a trade involving guard Coby White.

White is on an expiring $12.9 million deal and is headed for unrestricted free agency next summer, which cuts both ways. His salary is easy to match. The timing is not.

Stein notes that Chicago’s challenge is extracting real value when White is unlikely to sign an extension before hitting the open market. Teams like the player. They’re just not sure they like the math.
