The Raptors appear focused on two priorities as the trade deadline approaches. Those would be to stay out of the luxury tax, and add help up front.

According to SportsNet’s Michael Grange, those goals continue to guide Toronto’s conversations around the league. Grange reiterates that wing Ochai Agbaji and his $6.4 million expiring contract remain the Raptors’ most likely trade chip, as the team looks for flexibility without taking on long-term money.

On the frontcourt side, Grange reports that Goga Bitadze of the Magic is still a name to monitor. Bitadze had been linked to Toronto earlier in the season, and league sources suggest the Raptors continue to survey the market for affordable big-man depth.

Another player on the radar is Day’Ron Sharpe of the Nets, whom Grange identifies as a potential target as Toronto weighs options that would not push the club deeper into the tax.

Grange also notes that Yves Missi, a second-year center with the Pelicans, is believed to be available. However, the Raptors’ level of interest in Missi remains unclear.
