Warriors
Golden State kicked the tires on Nets forward Michael Porter Jr., but the price tag sounds like a non-starter.
Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints reports the Warriors had internal discussions on Porter before getting a sense Brooklyn would want more than Golden State is willing to give.
The Lakers, meanwhile, are not expected to pursue Porter either, given his future money. He is owed $40.8 million in 2026-27.
The Nets have signaled they are comfortable keeping Porter beyond the deadline, so unless someone blinks, he may stay put.
Wing help remains the Warriors’ focus. Siegel notes Golden State has been linked to DeMar DeRozan and Andrew Wiggins, who still has “mutual love” with the franchise after the 2022 title run.
Trey Murphy III also continues to come up. Sources say the Warriors have called New Orleans multiple times, though the Pelicans’ asking price is believed to be multiple first-round picks plus young talent.
Magic
Orlando could be open for business.
Siegel reports Tyus Jones, Jonathan Isaac and Goga Bitadze are names to monitor. With the Magic about $5.6 million above the tax line, a deal involving Bitadze could bring second-round capital and cap relief.
Timberwolves
Minnesota is expected to shop for backcourt help.
Tyus Jones, Malik Monk and Collin Sexton are among the guards linked to the Wolves, per Siegel. Charlotte is said to want at least one meaningful asset in any Sexton deal.
