Mavericks

Daniel Gafford is officially in play.

Multiple teams have checked in on the Mavericks center, including the Celtics, Hawks, Hornets, Pacers, and Warriors, sources tell Hoops Wire.

League-wide, Gafford is viewed as Dallas’ most movable piece ahead of the Feb. 5 deadline. He is productive, on a manageable deal, and fits cleanly into a contender’s rotation as a rim-runner, rebounder, and interior defender.

If Dallas decides to reshuffle its roster, Gafford is the name most executives expect to move first.

Bucks

Kyle Kuzma remains available. The problem is the price of moving him.

Milwaukee has been shopping Kuzma in hopes of upgrading the roster, but rival teams are not lining up to absorb his contract without sweeteners.

At this point, the Bucks appear to be facing a familiar deadline dilemma. Keep the player. Or attach draft capital.

A future pick swap is expected to be part of the cost if Milwaukee wants to offload Kuzma and bring back meaningful help.

Bulls

Coby White is drawing attention. And Chicago is listening.

The Clippers, Hawks, Magic, and Timberwolves are among the teams that have expressed trade interest in the Bulls guard, per sources. With White headed toward unrestricted free agency, Chicago appears to be preparing for a pivot.

Internally, the Bulls are prioritizing Josh Giddey as their long-term backcourt piece, which makes White more expendable as the deadline approaches. That does not guarantee a move, but the runway is shrinking.

If Chicago commits to Giddey as the future, White could be one of the more realistic guard names to change teams before the deadline.
