Bucks

The Giannis Antetokounmpo situation remains cloudy. His injury just made it murkier.

Even with Antetokounmpo expected to miss extended time due to a calf issue, Marc Stein of The Stein Line reports that multiple teams are still engaging Milwaukee in trade conversations. The interest has not cooled. The questions have only multiplied.

From a league perspective, the logic is simple. If Antetokounmpo is available, you call. If there is even a hint of movement, you stay involved.

The injury complicates timing and leverage, but it has not removed him from deadline speculation.

Whether Milwaukee actually moves him remains another matter entirely. But the phone is ringing. And teams are staying in the mix.

Bulls

Chicago is widely expected to move a guard.

According to Stein, Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu are the two most likely names to change teams before the deadline. This tracks with previous reporting, as White’s name has been circulating for weeks and Dosunmu continues to draw interest as a two-way backcourt piece.

Meanwhile, Nikola Vucevic may stay put. Stein echoes Jake Fischer’s earlier report that Vucevic could simply play out the season in Chicago and head into free agency rather than being moved now.

Mavericks

Naji Marshall is valued. But not untouchable.

Dallas sees Marshall as part of its post-Luka Doncic foundation, but Stein reports that any trade conversation involving the versatile wing would need to start with a first-round pick. That is the baseline. Not a sweetener. The opener.

The Mavericks also continue to view Max Christie as a key piece going forward. In fact, Stein notes the team is more focused on getting Christie into the three-point contest than exploring trade avenues involving him.

In other words, Dallas is open to listening. But only at its price. And for now, some pieces are far more likely to stay than go.
