The Raptors continue to rebuff any trade conversations centered on Scottie Barnes in trade talks with the Nets for Kevin Durant, per Zach Lowe of ESPN.
This is not the first such report — with multiple outlets indicating that Barnes is not available in any trade talks for anyone. But it seems that hasn’t stopped the Nets from trying to pry away the reigning Rookie of the Year as they seek a Durant deal.
Durant requested a trade at the start of the free agency period and the Nets have been active in talks since. Aside from the Raptors and Celtics (and possibly Heat), it is not known which teams they are currently engaging in talks.
”Have Toronto and Brooklyn even had a detailed conversation? Do we know for sure Phoenix has offered or will offer the best it can do for now: Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, four unprotected first-round picks and three swaps? Does Brooklyn have any interest in Miami Heat packages that don’t include Bam Adebayo,” Lowe wrote.
Hoops Wire will be keeping tabs on Durant talks so keep checking back.
