The Raptors are waiving shooting guard Armoni Brooks, per Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.
Brooks, 24, signed a pair of 10-day deals with the Raptors after the trade deadline, then eventually landed a two-year deal. He played fairly well with the Rockets for 41 games before that, averaging 6.2 points.
As relayed by JD Shaw of Hoops Rumors, Brooks would’ve be guaranteed $250,000 if the Raptors kept him past Aug. 1 (Monday).
While he won’t be returning to the Raptors, there’s a strong sense that Brooks will end up in another training camp somewhere o September.
Toronto’s roster will stand at 18 after the move, including two two-way players.
