The Cavaliers are landing two-way forward Emanuel Miller from the Bulls as part of their three-team De’Andre Hunter trade with the Kings, per Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune.
Cleveland is also receiving Dennis Schroder and Keon Ellis as part of the deal, which sends Hunter to Sacramento and Kings big man Dario Saric and two second-round picks to Chicago.
As part of all this, the Cavs will waive two-way man Luke Travers and the Bulls will do the same with Jevon Carter (per Poe).
Miller, 25, is 6-foot-5 and is actually listed as a power forward. He appeared in six games with Chicago last season as a rookie and has played in five this year, averaging 2.3 points and 1.0 rebounds.
Meanwhile, the Cavs no longer have a standard roster spot to sign two-way big man Nae’Qwan Tomlin. At least, not at the moment. That is likely to change between now and the Feb. 5 trade deadline, sources told Hoops Wire.
Tomlin is approaching the NBA’s 50-game threshold allowed to two-way players.
