
Victor Wembanyama might already be planning his next All-Star Weekend moment. After throwing down a two-handed windmill dunk in a recent Spurs win, Wembanyama said he expects to enter the Slam Dunk Contest at some point, per reports.
“I’ll be in the dunk contest one day,” he said afterward.
If and when that happens, the league will happily clear the runway.
• DeAndre Jordan delivered a throwback performance against the 76ers, logging more than 31 minutes after barely playing since late October. As Rod Walker of NOLA.com noted, Jordan finished with 15 rebounds (five offensive) and four blocks, his highest block total since the 2020–21 season. “Anytime you can go out there and compete in this league, it’s a gift,” Jordan said, adding that postgame he was craving wine and ice.
• Khris Middleton turned in his best scoring night of the season with 25 points on 11-of-15 shooting in a win over the Pacers. According to Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News, coach Jason Kidd praised Middleton’s size and ability to create space in the midrange, noting his value as a secondary playmaker with Flagg sidelined.
