Colin Cowherd weighs in on our LeBron-to-Cavs conversation

Well, this was unexpected.

During Thursday’s episode of The Herd, Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd referenced comments I made last week about the possibility of LeBron James returning to the Cavaliers for a third (and final) run.

The discussion originated during my appearance on Bonus Time with Bruce Drennan on the Big Play network. Cowherd ran with it.

The idea of James returning to Cleveland tends to surface whenever the Cavs look like legitimate contenders. Right now, they do.

The Cavs have again emerged as one of the true contenders in the Eastern Conference, while James continues to produce at a fairly high level with the Lakers.

James will be a free agent at the end of the season — and there are serious questions about whether LA would want him back for another run.

So could LeBron-back-to-the-Cavs happen? No one knows.

But when LeBron and Cleveland appear in the same sentence, the NBA world tends to notice.
