The Jazz could be a team to watch this summer when it comes to Austin Reaves.

According to NBA insider Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, Utah has interest in the Lakers guard, who is expected to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason if he declines his 2026-27 player option.

Reaves is widely expected to do just that after another strong season in Los Angeles. The 27-year-old is averaging 23.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists while shooting 49.5 percent from the field, 37.3 percent from three and 87.6 percent from the free-throw line.

“I’ve heard that the Utah Jazz like Austin Reaves,” Pincus said on a recent podcast appearance. “I don’t think that’s a shock, but I’ve heard that that’s one of the teams that’s interested.”

Utah has been reshaping its roster after acquiring Jaren Jackson Jr. from the Memphis Grizzlies at the trade deadline. The Jazz are building around Jackson, Lauri Markkanen, Keyonte George, Ace Bailey and Walker Kessler.

Still, the Lakers are expected to do everything possible to keep Reaves. He has developed strong relationships within the organization, including with teammate Luka Dončić and coach JJ Redick.

Reaves has also been clear about where he would prefer to stay.

“I’ve said it a million times,” he told ESPN earlier this season. “I want to be in L.A. I love it.”
