The Kings have agreed to a two-year contract with the former lottery pick Killian Hayes after his pair of 10-day deals expired Saturday, Hayes’ agent Yann Balikouzou confirmed to Shams Charania of ESPN.
Hayes, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2020 draft, appeared in 10 games during his brief run with the Kings. He averaged 3.8 points, 3.3 assists and 2.0 rebounds in about 15 minutes per night.
The numbers were modest, but Sacramento evidently liked the overall impact. Hayes posted a positive plus-minus during his time with the club while helping the Kings win five of their last 10 games.
According to James Ham of Kings Beat, the contract is expected to be a minimum deal and will be non-guaranteed for the 2026-27 season. That structure gives Sacramento flexibility heading into the offseason.
Hayes will fill the Kings’ 15th roster spot.
