Warriors guard Moses Moody has been diagnosed with a torn patellar tendon in his left knee, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.
Moody sustained the injury during Monday’s game against the Mavericks.
The 22-year-old will finish the season averaging 12.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists while shooting 44.0 percent from the field and 40.1 percent from three-point range.
Moody, the 14th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, owns career averages of 8.0 points and 2.4 rebounds. He was part of Golden State’s championship team in 2022.
The injury is a significant setback for the Warriors, who currently sit 10th in the Western Conference and are positioned for the play-in tournament under head coach Steve Kerr.
