Warriors say hope restored with Stephen Curry return

Warriors guard Stephen Curry is expected to return Sunday after missing more than two months with a knee injury, as relayed by Noah Furtado of The San Francisco Chronicle.

Golden State is currently in 10th place in the Western Conference, but teammates are optimistic about a late push with Curry nearing a comeback.

“Now, Superman’s back,” Gary Payton II said. “So we’ll figure it out with that.”

Curry, who has been sidelined since January 30, said he’s looking forward to sharing the court with Kristaps Porzingis, who was acquired at the trade deadline.

“I was telling him, I don’t know how people are going to guard our pick-and-roll,” Curry said. “Anytime you have talent like that and two guys that can demand attention, it’s always a good thing… to create good offense.”

So, yeah. Curry’s return could provide a boost as the Warriors look to become a threat in the postseason.
